July 31, 2011 by admin   Blog

Q:   Have you noticed any relationship between food sensitivity and raised blood sugar? And is there a reduction in blood sugars once the food sensitivities have been investigated and managed? Does blood sugar improve for those who manage their fructose and lactose and intolerance well? A:  These are interesting questions. I will try and help your thinking by letting you know where blood glucose levels (BGLs) fitted into care in food sensitive people. Because I first worked with hyperactive … [Read more...]

Elimination diet and the Diet Detective process in practice

May 9, 2011 by admin   Blog

Diet in small children

September 14, 2010 by admin   Blog

Helping small children understand that diet may affect their mood If a very small child gets tummy aches, diarrhoea, or feels itchy with some foods it is relatively easy to help her understand the connection. It is a little harder when eating the foods means having trouble getting to sleep, or having nightmares. But it is even harder if the main symptom is ‘irritable, touchy or cranky’ or ‘tantrums’ or ‘demanding behaviour’. The first step is to chat about it even if you don’t think the child … [Read more...]
